GainPeace Celebrates World Hijab Day!

World Hijab Day was February 1 and GainPeace was able to set up several different events and booths in cities across America, all the way from Dallas to Chicago. The purpose of this campaign is to dispel the many misconceptions others may have about Hijab in particular and women in Islam.

Our neighbors were able to learn about hijab from Muslim women and even try them on. Our displays and booths offered Women in Islam posters, Henna design, Try a Hijab for a Day booth and presentations on Hijab and Women. People of all faiths and backgrounds came to this inclusive event and the day was a success!
