One of GainPeace’s outreach projects is raising public awareness through billboard ads. These billboard ads on Islam are designed to invite interested individuals to visit GainPeace project’s website (www.gainpeace.com) or to call the projects toll free number (1-800-662-ISLAM) or to request a free copy of the Quran and Islamic literature. These billboards are seen by thousands of commuters daily when they are up on highways.
Dr. Sabeel Ahmed, Director of GainPeace, comments: “Islam is often a misunderstood religion, leading some to hold bias view of Islam with discrimination and suspicion of Muslims. This ad campaign provides an opportunity for general public to take a fresh and positive look at Islam through simple messages displayed on these billboards.” These ads have resulted in answering many misconceptions and curiosity on Islam from the general public.
