Muslims Launch Bus Campaign to Dispel Misconceptions about Islam
(09/18/2008, Chicago, IL) - Gain Peace, an out-reach project of Islamic Circle of North America is launching a bold venture in its public awareness campaign by placing ads about Islam on the city of Chicago buses. Starting on September 19th 2008, for four weeks, several buses in Chicago will start carrying messages on the religion of Islam. Each ad will invite interested individuals to call GainPeace’s toll free number 1-800-662-ISLAM begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 1-800-662-ISLAM end_of_the_skype_highlighting and converse live with a Muslim, ask questions about Islam, request a free copy of the Quran and Islamic literature. Their website, GainPeace.com, displayed on the ad will provide more detailed information on Islam.
Similar projects on sub-ways and buses in other major cities in USA have generated coverage by major media outlets and curiosity from the general public.
